And the goal for the year has already been stated as thus:
be bold. act like a lady, think like a boss.
In the sense that I will be taking risks, pushing myself out of my comfort zone, and getting sh*t done, with a certain ferocity, but with a touch of grace. I’m trying not to have high expectations for this year I just want to make sure i have the same outlook with each opportunity. Take risks, be adventurous, and stay open minded (which is essentially a life goal, not just an annual one).
I can’t help but have a couple bullet points for the year though…somethings I would like to try to do:
- literally laugh out loud more often than I type it
- connect with friends over good conversation while exploring the plethora of delectable restaurants in the bay area
Explored San Francisco delights, bars, and lounges, as well as the East Bay from Pleasanton to Oakland, all while reconnecting with good folks, and getting to know new ones.
- take a dance class that is not hip hop
womp womp. time to sign up for a class at the beginning of 2012
- get involved in community work again; step one- put on a workshop for the Pittsburg Fil-Am center
re-evaluating- baby steps.
- step up the fashion wardrobe.
a little more risk taking- but nothing wrong with the t-shirt and jeans type of girl once in a while.
- what’s a date? I’ll have to find out what that is again HAHA…rawr.
I’m glad a learned what these were. I surprised myself didn’t realize what I am capable of.
- Read more books…reading raaaainbow….
Not only did I read “a book a month”…I read 15!
- and the obligatory: work out more/save money/travel (i still want to take a literal trip all alone somewhere) etc.
I could have done so much better with the working out thing :(
In conclusion- This year has exceeded my expectations once again. The new car, new office, new apartment thing did not come easily, nor did it arrive at a time that I was completely prepared, but that’s where the whole “think like a boss” came in. Crisis averted and in each situation, I came up. With all its blessings and growing pains- and imagining what would have been…I wouldn’t have traded 2011’s lessons for the world.
