I’m absolutely for higher education…but damn this system of private loans. Banks, I shake my fist at you. Unfortunately, my #1 reason why I haven’t gone into graduate school yet. Wrong mentality? Maybe. But surprisingly Suzy Orman has a point. If I could be a student forever…I would. If it weren’t so expensive…haha… But you know…student of life is good with me for now too.

It’s always important to keep your goals in mind. New Year’s Resolution 2012:

3) Improve the way I organize things at work- learn to maintain instead of clean-know when to prioritize and take initiative…make sure my director will give me a sparkling reference with no sugar coating needed.

Half way through the year, and unexpectedly was able to cross this one off quicker than I thought. It’s only the beginning- hustle harder and watch me shine…to spread light and love that is.

Connections: and we are surprised that people like the man who killed Treyvon exist? Tweets seem innocent enough but are so telling that stereotypes are so deeply imbedded in peoples minds. This documentary follows the story of the “Chiong 7” and more specifically Paco. Charged with rape, kidnap and murder, even though he was on a completely separate island in the Philippines at the time of the crime. It delves into to the Philippine judicial system and how corrupt and circus-like it can become.

Find it at an Asian Am film festival near you. You know it’s good when you and your friends sit there pissed off the whole time. Too many words…implications and irony of colonization and absurdity of media involvement at its finest.

Had a moment to sit. Go numb. Reflect. I thought I had seen/heard a lot of shit at work, but today tops my 3 years off.

Conjure ancestors, drinking from the bottle that was sent from the tired and the true…I give thanks to the most the least that I can do, I wear this skin to find the me inside of you.

This song has been in my head ALL day. I got home from work changed and just RAN. Running has never been my therapy, but today that’s the ONLY thing I could do to clear my head.

…Seems like listening to Blue scholars and days like this spur me to run my personal best. 3 miles for only the second time in my life.
